Our People
Elissa is head of our business law group and focuses her practice on a variety of corporate and franchise issues. After more than two decades as a corporate and franchise lawyer, Elissa is excited that she still likes being a lawyer, although she tries to avoid sharing this with anyone in social situations. Elissa has also been recognized as a Franchise Times magazine Legal Eagle.
As a co-founder of a now-thriving nonprofit organization, Elissa understands the struggles of getting a fledgling business off the ground. She has worked with businesses in a wide spectrum of industries to get them up and running, and has also worked with businesses in all other parts of a company’s life-cycle.
Elissa understands that her clients want to focus on their business and not on legal issues. Elissa’s goal is to make her clients’ legal experience as painless as possible. Elissa has advised clients in connection with their initial formations, mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, joint ventures and strategic alliances, technology transfer and licensing, and a diverse range of commercial transactions. Elissa has also advised clients in a wide range of franchise matters.
Prior to joining Drumm Law, Elissa worked for three well-respected Denver, Colorado law firms. Elissa received her law degree from University of Virginia Law School and graduated Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude from Middlebury College.
Elissa enjoys skiing, hiking, biking, traveling and most of all, spending time with her family.
Elissa lives in Colorado and is admitted to practice law in Colorado.
