Eric joined Drumm Law in July of 2017. Eric’s practice focuses on trademark and franchise law. Eric is a legal research expert with significant experience in statutory research and interpretation, electronic discovery and legislative interpretation and drafting. Eric has a passion for unraveling code and providing clients with ways to achieve their objectives within the bounds of the statutes.
Immediately after graduating from the University of Texas School of Law, Eric went to work for LexisNexis. Eric started as the representative for the University of Texas School of Law and St. Mary’s School of Law. It was at UT Law that Eric met the young and eager Mike Drumm and Trent Rinebarger. After several years instructing law students in online legal research, Eric was put in charge of all law schools in the Northeast United States and spent several years in Manhattan working with some of the top law schools in the country. After leaving legal publishing, Eric worked in eDiscovery modeling large scale discovery projects for major energy and technology companies.
Eric attended law school at the University of Texas. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Speech Communications from Sam Houston State University. While he was at SHSU, he worked full time at the town’s largest law firm, served as student body president, was on the debate team and was on the cheerleading squad. Eric has always had a hard time narrowing down his interests. In addition to being a legal “Jack of all trades”, Eric is a proud father to his son, Barrett, and husband to his wife Lyne. He has a passion for playing golf poorly, rooting for the Texas Longhorns and enjoying the wide open spaces of the Texas Hill Country.
Eric lives in Texas and is admitted to practice law in Texas.
